  On July 10, 2018 officers responded to the report of three individuals acting suspicious in the area of the Newberry Pointe Shopping Center. Officers were able to locate three individuals and investigation revealed that they were involved in the theft of multiple items from stores in the shopping center. The Newberry Township Police would like to inform the residents of Newberry Township and the municipalities it serves of a new state law that went into effect regarding the possession and use of fireworks. On October 30, 2017, the Pennsylvania General Assembly passed House Bill 542.
